The head-up display[2] transforms the windshield into a digital cockpit by mirroring a virtual image that floats above the bonnet. This allows you to keep an eye on important information such as speed, speed limits, warning messages and navigation instructions without any distractions.
The special Augmented Reality equipment[1] is offered in conjunction with MBUX. A camera in front of the rear view mirror captures the environment in front of the vehicle and displays it as a live image on the central display. Virtual objects, information and markings are displayed, e.g. traffic signs, directions or house numbers.
The MBUX multimedia system ensures that your driving experience is now more digitally enhanced. The touchscreen is tilted towards the driver’s side enabling you to control important vehicle functions intuitively and comfortably. With its individual user profiles, MBUX can provide you with your favourite radio stations, playlists or navigation routes straight away.
Even in difficult situations, the Trailer Manoeuvring Assist[2] allows you to reverse with precision. Via the MBUX central display, you choose the direction: straight or in a pre-set, freely adjustable angle. The system steers automatically, with the accelerator and brake pedals operated by the driver[5].
An individually adjustable driver display shows you key driving information. It stands out from traditional cockpits with classic round instruments: the high-resolution LCD screen stands alone and seems to float in front of the surrounding trim.
The Active Lane Keeping Assist[2] is an attentive observer: if you unintentionally leave your lane or get dangerously close to other road users, the system can bring you back into your lane with the help of a steering intervention. However, if you still leave the lane, an additional warning will follow in the form of a steering wheel vibration.[5]
This assistant looks closely for you: The system can warn you of side collisions with other road users in your blind spot, especially as soon as you activate the turn indicator. After your trip, the system still remains alert and warns you if you open the door at the wrong time. A key protection measure, particularly for cyclists.[2][5]
Exclusive parking service with all-round visibility: Active Parking Assist with PARKTRONIC and 360° camera[2] detects available and designated parking spaces as you approach them. After selecting a parking space, you can park effortlessly thanks to dynamic visualisation and acoustic feedback – or have the vehicle manoeuvre into the space with assisted parking.[8]
This package offers you versatile support when parking: Active Parking Assist with PARKTRONIC detects available parking spaces as you drive past. As soon as an available parking space has been selected, thanks to the reversing camera, ultrasonic sensors and practical visualisations, you can enter a space confidently – or have the vehicle parked with assistance.[8]
The electronic drive authorization system recognises you by your key. The vehicle is unlocked or locked from a distance of approx. two meters. This means that you have control over access to the vehicle without the frustrating search for the key. [2]
A sensor in the rear bumper detects movement. Luggage or purchases need not be placed on the floor.[2]
On request, the parking and exiting process of your own garage or a specific parking space is recorded and stored. Once saved, your GLC Coupé can carry out the manoeuvring process automatically while you monitor the process in a relaxed manner from the driver’s seat.[2][8]
The PRE-SAFE® system[2] makes use of the time prior to an impending accident on your behalf. A host of measures are able to reduce the stress and strain to which you are exposed. The innovative PRE-SAFE® Sound generates a noise from the speakers which is able to trigger a natural protective reflex. This protects the inner ear by damping the accident noise.
If the GLC detects an unavoidable side collision, PRE-SAFE® Impulse Side initiates measures to move the occupants towards the centre of the vehicle. This way, the vehicle can reduce the force exerted in the event of an accident.[2]
The GLC Coupé was equipped with a centre airbag in accordance with the latest rating requirements for Europe. Integrated into the backrest of the driver’s seat, it can position itself between the driver and front passenger in the event of a severe side impact.
With its continuously adjustable damping control on each individual wheel, AIRMATIC[2] lets you enjoy a particularly smooth ride. This will enable you to drive in outstanding comfort and arrive more relaxed at your destination. In addition, the air suspension can be raised by 15 mm if necessary and it automatically adjusts to different vehicle loads.

The braking system with extra large perforated brake disks on the front axle[2] is powerful, always. You can rely on stable braking in all situations even after several hard brakes.
